 A dear friend who leads an important Chinese-American organization is working on an interesting project that will bring knowledge to our country of the contributions, trials and tribulations of the Chinese minority during the 19th and 20th centuries as their labors contributed to the economic growth and development of the country. The project is well conceived, designed and on the way. The format is highly dependant on photographs of work and actions of Chinese people in the process, distinct from photos of their holiday celebrations or family events which have a limited social impact. 
 
 
 
I'm appealing to my friends and associates to contribute any photos they might have and to go beyond their personal possession and expand this request to their families, friends and political associates.
 
 
 
I've undertaken to help because I believe such a beautiful volume (I've seen the format and some of the research channels) will have an impact on prejudice against Chinese-Americans and China itself which seeks peaceful ascension into a world power by the middle of this century.
 
 
 
Please let me know by email any time that something useful can be obtained. We will undertake the necessary contacts and any cost for obtaining originals or copies of photos.
