I'm looking for in  an assistant to work with me on my history book.  Please note, that I don't absolutely need to have every requirement listed as I can be flexible and work with someone who has several of the skills listed, but not all.

"Attorney and writer seeks a college student or graduate with a major or degree in history (BA or MA) to assist on a biography about a major general in the American Revolution and the French and Indian War.  Majors/graduates in English, political science and international relations will be considered.  

 

Excellent research skills required, with some knowledge about the American Revolution or colonial America helpful.  Most research will be done online given the growth in online databases (e.g., Founders Online and  <http://www.archive.org%29./> http://www.archive.org).  Access to materials and books in a college or university library will be helpful.  Superior skills also required in writing and editing, the Chicago Manual of Style (or other styles of footnoting) and Microsoft Word.  

 

This position is part-time with flexible hours.  Work will be performed remotely with periodic telephone calls to discuss new assignments and next steps in various stages of the research and drafting processes.  Hourly pay is commensurate with experience and skills."
