On April 6 you can get to meet the winners of this years GOtham GREEN Awards®.in person.

Each winner will do a presentation about their business and we will learn why they were selected for 2016.

Once again the winners are:

1.The Queens Chamber of Commerce Energy Committee represented by Brett Swanson, manager of Committee Development of the Queens Chamber
The Committee exists to educate local business owners and residents about energy supply challenges and opportunities facing Queens and the metropolitan area while promoting sensible solutions to meet demand with local resources to accelerate regional economic growth. This is accomplished in three ways:
i.   Keeping up-to-date with current energy trends and regularly reporting these issues
ii.  Sharing information on local business capabilities and promoting economic development initiatives
iii. Monitoring and reporting local, state and national legislative initiatives that impact Queens and the other 4 boroughs.

2. Earth Friendly Products, represented by Nadereh Afsharmanesh, VP of Sustainability and Education            
Earth Friendly Products manufactures over 200 eco friendly household and commercial cleaning products. They make environmentally friendly cleaning products for household and commercial use, including laundry detergent, household cleaners and pet care products.

The Coop consisting of 6 buildings has implemented several initiatives to make the coop more sustainable.  You will admire the initiative taken here.  Come and learn about the changes maybe you will consider implementing some..

5.Joshua Zinder Architects represented by its President Joshua Zinder
 Josh is a current co-chair of GOtham GREEN® and Architect,who is totally committed to Sustainability and the many projects he has completed that utilize the principles of LEED. . You can learn more 
at the presentation. 

THIS EVENT WILL BE HELD ON APRIL 6 12:30-2:30 AT THE FRIARS CLUB ON EAST 55TH STREET IN MANHATTAN.
