We have a one of a kind event to address just these issues!

Gotham Princeton's December 2nd event the featured speaker will be engineer Russell Feder of the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). Feder will be giving an exciting talk on the engineering challenges of producing fusion energy.


The U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is a collaborative national center for fusion energy research. The Laboratory is operated by Princeton University for the DOE. The Lab advances the coupled fields of fusion energy and plasma physics research, and, with collaborators, is developing the scientific understanding and key innovations needed to realize fusion as a benign energy source for the world. An associated mission is providing the highest quality of scientific education.


Harnessing fusion energy is one of the greatest scientific and engineering challenges ever undertaken, and PPPL has been a pioneer in this field since 1951. Laboratory engineers have designed and built huge magnets that confine and control the superhot gas called plasma that fuels fusion reactions, the same process that takes place in the sun.
