We are searching for candidates with the following qualities for a Legal/Administrative Assistant position:

*         Strong organizational, time-management and written/verbal communication skills;

*         High level of accuracy, sharp attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills;

*         Ability to multi-task and handle fluctuating priorities and deadlines;

*         Ability to empathize and work with clients in crisis; and

*         Personable with good phone skills.
Responsibilities will include:

*         Answering phones, communicating with clients and advisors and scheduling appointments;

*         Maintaining databases;

*         Preparing correspondence;

*         Finalizing and coordinating execution of estate planning documents;

*         Preparing Surrogate's Court forms;

*         Preparing deeds and transfer tax documents; and

*         Organizing financial information.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required; working knowledge of Hot Docs and Time Matters a plus.

We are also looking for a Medicaid Coordinator with 2-5 years' experience preparing and filing community and chronic Medicaid applications in Nassau, Suffolk and NYC.
