Energy Project Engineer Tracking Code 20120453 Job Description SUMMARY: Plans, regulates and monitors energy use in all buildings. Improves energy efficiency through evaluations of energy use and implementing new policies and changes. Responsible for HVAC controls, energy tracking and the implementation of alternative energy solutions such as energy efficient lighting, motors and controls, cogeneration, wind turbines, solar panels, solar roofing systems and equipment for the primary purpose of conserving energy and reducing costs. Coordinates all aspects of energy management, from energy efficiency and reduction of carbon dioxide emissions to waste management and sustainable development by: encouraging the use of renewable/sustainable energy resources; deriving solutions for carbon management; and raising the profile of energy conservation. Required Skills MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, engineering technology, business or related field with emphasis on Facilities Management. Professional designation of Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred. EXPERIENCE: 7-10 years experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience; with 2 years in energy management. 10+ years with BA/BS. OTHER: Knowledge of energy management program development. Knowledge of HVAC and lighting systems. Ability to manage budgets and personnel.
