[Fredslist] Shout out to Jim Kramer

I had the great experience of meeting Jim Kramer of TierPoint for a tour of
their Data Centers in Hawthorne, NY yesterday followed by a yummy sushi
lunch. Though TierPoint houses servers and data for large companies like
A&E, I now understand that any business that doesn't want to maintain their
own servers on site - whether the reason be security, lack of expertise, or
that they want their applications in the cloud - TierPoint can help them
out. And since Jim's original company, Xand, was bought by TierPoint, they
now have data centers nationwide. 

 

I also loved hearing about Jim's sordid past in the music industry! ;-)
