[Fredslist] Need a Specialist for TN Disease

One of my fraternity brothers has been dealing with TN for several years and
went through surgery earlier this month that seems to have been the most
successful to date.  He recommends the following resources.  

 

My strong recommendation is Johns Hopkins, specifically Dr Michael Lim, but
there are good Drs up that way too. Here is a link to vetted Drs for TN:

Equally important the livingwithtn.org is an online community of over 3K
patients sharing and supporting each other. Its a vast wealth of info. They
helped me get through the toughest points of the past 2 years and this
person can post to have anything/everything answered. 

Further, I am happy to help this person in anyway. Feel free to pass along

as anyone we can help get the help they need is a life saved.

A dear friend has been diagnosed with TN Disease which is a neurological
condition involving the nerves in the head causing debilitating pain.  TN
Disease has also been called the "Suicide Disease" because the pain causes
people to consider that alternative.  Apparently, this is a very uncommon
condition and she would very much like to find out who in the country is
considered a specialist for this disease.  She lives on Long Island but
would travel to go to the best doctor for consultation and treatment.
