[Fredslist] Pet Safe Coalition looking for Board members

Fellow Gothamites,

If you are a pet owner and/or animal lover and are looking to become involved with a local not-for-profit organization that serves people and their pets, this may be of interest to you.

I am involved with Pet Safe Coalition, whose mission is to educate and prepare pet owners for emergencies with their pets, as well as to provide first responder services during a disaster. In fact, at this time Pet Safe Coalition continues to staff an emergency animal shelter in Uniondale, Long Island, which is still housing about 70-80 dogs and cats whose owners cannot care for them because of Hurricane Sandy.

Pet Safe Coalition is actively looking to grow its Board of Directors and would be glad to hear from any Gotham member or your colleagues/friends/family members who may be interested in joining the Board.
