Bob was the most generous soul. He deserved his recognition as networker of
the decade.  That is why you would always see many people around him at the
cocktail parties and events. He gave of himself and never asked anything in
return but to be who you were.

It is with great sadness that I inform that Bob Formica, our Networker of
the Decade in 2007 and Chairman of our Formica I and Lefty Groups, passed
away peacefully last night. 

If you knew him, you loved him. He was so cheerful and strong despite his
multiple and ever increasing infirmities. 

He was my banker and inspired my comment "service obsessed". An original
member, Bob grew and thrived in lock step with Gotham. 

At the risk of being sacreligious I dubbed him "Saint Formica" and now he
has been called home. 

Rest in peace my dear friend!
