I must chime in and join the crowd to say what a wonderful experience
my sweetheart & I had last night with Joyce Gold.
The stories of Larry Kramer yelling at Ed Koch (deservedly so),
Eleanor Roosevelt on the 5th Avenue bus, a man living in the
Washington Sq. arch,
the significance of 1911 & 911, walking on a grave yard, the hanging
tree, and on and on. Joyce is a repository of interesting, historic,
and amusing tales of the city and we could have listened for many
more hours.
And let's not forget the "villager" who told us all we were idiots
and should go "F#$% ourselves!"
You could fall in love with New York again & again...
Thank you so much Joyce and my fellow touring comrades,
Cayce
PS - Marty Klein looks great in shorts.
