[Fredslist] Another High Line?

So...maybe Gotham knows early (or it might not happen). 

Boise, Idaho may get one too. An elevated park modeled on our High Line. 

Know the story about how Ray Kroc started growing McDonald's? Well, he made 2 very important deals with Coca Cola and Simplot Potatoes. Both supplied much product in exclusive deals, where Kroc promised to only sell theirs if they would supply him on consignment. 

Well Simplot (yes, that's who has always made those tasty fries) has an antique tractor collection he wants to display without risk of them being stolen and he (Scott Simplot, the founder's son) was listening to me tell my team about the real estate we could see from High Line and asked if he could join us. 

Turns out his trip to NYC was to see the High Line himself before proposing his plan to the city of Boise. He says "some of the tractors are from before there was a John Deere". His family thought the trip was for the kids to see Thanksgiving Day parade (they did that too). Shhh....

Speaking of the High Line—I give terrific tours of it. Just did today. It's a great way to understand what it was, how it came to be what it is, the design, the concepts. Next public tour is Friday July 29 at 1 PM meeting at Jeffrey NY at Washington St  & 14th St.
