Agreed with #2. Bookiniste was wonderful. Also, Paris restaurant (best meal I ever had).

Gotham,
I have now had 6 Gothamites asked for restaurant recommendations and other
information about Paris so I am posting it here it Fredslist.
I have 5 restaurant suggestions.
1. "Jules Verne" it is in the Eiffel Tower and it takes a few months to get
a reservation we could not get in even though my friend knows the chef.
Everyone says it is worth it.
2. Guy Savoy has 3 restaurants in Paris we went to "Les Bouquinistes" which
was amazing!! Not inexpensive but amazing!!!! I would suggest the Chefs
tasting menu.
3. We found this amazing little bistro called "Auberge St Roch" which is at
33 Rue St Roch. It was excellent they had a wonderful crème brulee. Small
and quaint.
4. On the last night we went to "The Le Cigale Récamier" 4 rue Récamier
75007 Paris Neighborhoods: 7ème arr., 6ème arr. It was also fantastic it has
soufflés for main dishes and deserts. They were fantastic rich and
wonderfully flavorful a very French experience and my daughter loved it. I
attached a picture of the peach soufflé I had it was out of this world. The
Crab soufflé was great too.
5. My friend also recommended "Le Relais de l’Entrecote" • Paris VI • 101,
boulevard du Montparnasse which only serves only beef, it is supposed to be
great. But as my daughter is does not eat beef it was not worth it for us to
go.
A few other things: Make a reservation to go to the top of the Eiffel tower
if you want to otherwise it is a 4 hour line at the bottom. You make the
reservation online.
If you want to go to the catacombs unless you want to wait in a 5 hour line
you need to sign up for a tour no other way, we showed up an hour before it
opened and it was an 2 hour line and still never made it in. The tours go
right in.
The Museum Pass was a life saver it came with 2 kinds of passes, a 15%
discount card at a number of stores, a booklet giving you information on
places and times, and the most valuable thing was the subway ticket it was
to last 2 days but we used it all 5. The pass puts you to the front
everywhere except the Eiffel tower and the longest line we waited on was 10
minutes.
I hope this helps.
All the best.
Josh

Wow. Sounds like an amazing trip. I am going to Paris in October to
celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Any recommendations for restaurants?
How did you cut the lines at museums? The museum pass?
