I am honored to be participating in this panel with David Abeshouse. It
should be an interesting discussion about the benefits and pitfalls of
using social media from multiple perspectives. All of the information you
need to register is below but if you have any questions, don't hesitate to
ask either David or me.
Hope you will join us!

[Fredslist] "Get Down to Business"
04/26/2011 09:04 NYC Social Media Event in mid-May
AM
All:
In mid-May, Constant Contact is presenting a unique small business event in
20 cities including New York; it’s entitled, “Get Down to Business:
Cracking the Code on Social Media for Small Business.” I was asked to
assemble a legal panel to discuss Social Media and the Law, and I’ll be
participating in the presentation, as will our fearless Gotham Co-Leader,
Nancy Schess.

presented. You can attend as much or as little as you want or as time
permits. The location for the 5/18 sessions is the Levin Institute; SUNY
Global Center, 116 East 55th Street.
May 18th - 8:00am - 5:00pm:
Social Media Marketing Bootcamp
You'll hear from the experts with multiple workshops and panels….
Nancy and I will be speaking on one of the panels (at 11 a.m. on Wed.,
5/18):
Workshop #2) Panel: Social Media and the Law
As a business owner, you will encounter legal issues with every piece of
your business – even where you didn’t think they could exist. Social media
presents a growing set of legal issues, affecting every aspect of operating
a business and doing business. As the laws are still running to catch up
to technology – and new cases are setting precedents every day – what
should business owners know? You’ll hear from experts on intellectual
property, websites, social media tools and content, advertising and data
privacy – from the perspective of corporate concerns, human resource
issues, current cases (and what the decisions will mean moving forward) and
resolving related disputes.
Presented by David Abeshouse, Stacy Robin, Matt Savare, Nancy Schess
