Subject: Sources needed for three Daily News articles
Do you:
-- live and work in the five boroughs (not Long Island or Westchester);
-- be international, an ethnic minority or Caucasian;
-- be willing to discuss something financial about your work (not your
income or business revenue);
-- be willing to be photographed; and
-- provide your age.
The most recent proposals to the editor of "Your Money" at the Daily News
turned up interest in three pitches:
-- making lemons into lemonade (Sometimes life throws you a curve ball. You
file for bankruptcy, struggle through a messy divorce or lose someone you
love. This article will demonstrate how people with pluck turn bad luck into
a good living, one which makes them money and makes them happy.);
-- doing unconventional work -- something off-beat, unusual, not
run-of-the-mill (Some time during adulthood, if not before, people figure
out that they should do what they want to do, not what others think they
should or their education and training prepared them to do. These New
Yorkers developed new ways to make money. See if you can guess what they did
before they became what they are now.); or
-- owning a home-based franchise (A home-based franchise isn't as risky as a
home-based business. The three profiled here might surprise you.)
Send me your pitch. If you don't fit these topics, please forward this query
to other New Yorkers. Thank you!
