Some of you have been following the research program that I created and directed on the Kladno Torah from the Czech Republic. I've just been informed by United Synagogue of America that the program has won the "Silver Award in the Category of Holocaust." Why not Gold? you might ask.? Who knows. 

This just goes to show that it's important to invest in the soul as well as the pocket. Sometimes you just have to follow your moral imperative and do what you feel is right. You can't hear the coins jingling in the bank, but hopefully this sort of currency is accepted in higher places. And in the end, isn't that what counts?
