"Words cannot say" are the first words that pour forth from a distraught  
mother's mouth.  What follows is an hour and a half filled with  words from the 
heart of a mother who never really got to know a son she had  lost.  Words from 
a teacher who had become a friend to a young man who  had no friends.  The 
pathos of the words make you forget that  these people are acting.  Really 
acting well.
 
The name of the play is Substitution and we went because Gothamite Judy  
Mauer is one of the producers and was kind enough to offer tickets.    If you are 
looking for something to do with your Mom for Mother's day, make a  
reservation at Fiamma and walk two streets to the SoHo Playhouse to see this  show.
 
It was also fun seeing other Gothamites in the audience.  Judy will  arrange
