*Tales of Technology*

It has been an adventurous couple of weeks here at Expert
Communications.  The fur has been flying as we moved our website to a
new host and set up a new shopping cart for our webstore (check it out

As such, if you have sent an email to one of us and not received a
response, I apologize and ask you that you please re-send.  During the
switchover, I am not sure what might have been lost – ARGH!
On a related note, Rosalie experienced something we should all take note
of in regard to email:  She was emailing a contractor here in Tampa,
Florida about an estimate for replacing her windows and apparently the
“auto-complete” function in her email finished the recipient’s address
and the email was instead sent to a client in Ohio!  Lesson:  Pause and
double check before hitting “send”.

While all this was going on, I stumbled across an article, “Technology &
Stress: Good Tools or Bad Tools,” by Jim Calloway at the Oklahoma Bar
Association.  It’s a quick read about the trade-offs involved in
technology in modern business practices.  Check it out at

The 17th Annual National Expert Witness Conference is coming up - June
19-20 in Hyannis, Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Presenters include judges,
attorneys and experts. Here's one expert's feedback from last year's
event: 

"I went last year and it was great. Not to mention my business doubled
last year. I have been an expert for 15 years and didn't realize how
much I didn't know. Last year was the first year I went. I will be
unable to attend this year but will try again next year." 

Rosalie has attended several times and always comes away with good ideas
and new relationships. It's not too late to get in on this year's
conference.
