We are so pleased to announce that Gotham (pro bono) General Counsel (also
Chair of Gotham's new Health Care Group) Ben Geizhals has joined the firm
of Morrit Hock Hamroff & Horowitz LLP (Leslie Berkoff's firm) as a result
of another Gotham shidach (legalese for matchmaking). Ben specializes in
health care law, representing health care providers in transactional and
regulatory matters. His clients include health care companies, doctors,
dentists, other health care practitioners, nursing homes, medical billing
and practice management companies, and he advises them on the daily issues
faced in today's challenging health care environment. He is also a world
class hand holder if you are unfortunate enough to have a loved one in need
of his knowledge. In addition to the negotiation and documentation of
mergers and acquisitions of practices, and corporate, partnership and
employment relationship issues, he represents providers in Medicare,
Medicaid and insurance audits and fraud investigations, disputes with
managed care companies, and disciplinary, licensing and credentializing
matters.

Our Ben is a graduate of New York University School of Law (J.D. 1974) and
Brandeis University (B.A. 1971) and is admitted to practice in New York and
New Jersey. He is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the
Health Law Section of the American Bar Association, the Health Law Section
of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar
Association. He was a presenter at the New York State Bar Association
seminar on "Legal and Regulatory Issues in Long Term Care" (May 2004).

The Moritt Hock firm is an excellent firm and Nancy and I could not be more
pleased and proud as to this positive development. Moritt Hock has
extensive experience in virtually all disciplines of law affecting
businesses and the people who own them, including: litigation, bankruptcy,
corporate and securities, tax, intellectual property, real estate,
not-for-profits, trusts and estates, and now adds Ben's health care law
expertise.

Good luck Ben!
