Gentle Ladies and Gentlemen of Gotham:

The sword has two edges.

Many of us argue that a major factor in the increasing divisiveness in our
society is the past four decades' emphasis of group rights over individual
rights.

In my view, groups like Gotham City Networking have demonstrated that
freedom of choice with respect to group affiliations can be handled in a
responsible and very salutary manner.

Throughout history, however, societies have been harmed when group rights
became ends in themselves, at the expense of individual rights. Win-lose in
many cases has reversed itself as lose-win, as other groups have simply become
the new victims of discrimination, in a type of "musical chairs" of victims.
Resentments run in both directions as each group is convinced as to its
perceived rights.

Enter BigMedia.

BM can be counted on to take every societal pimple, and turn it instantly
into stage 4 melanoma.

BM truly stinks.
