Hi:  I volunteered to put together a "New York" basket for a Chicago charity - the Adler Museum.   A dear friend is the chair of the event and I wanted to something special.

Unfortunately my mother had a stroke early July and I've been with her in Massachusetts since then sorting things out.

I haven't had any time to reach out to restaurants, vendors, hotels, etc to ask for things to put in the basket.  Do any of you have connections with some one who would consider giving a gift or gift certificate for inclusion in the basket?  I don't have any NBC contacts but tickets to the new observation deck or a gift certificate for cocktails at the Rainbow Room are definitely NY.  There are many other things that work too - admission to museums, behind the scene tours, theater tickets, Ferry Tickets to Riekers Island, etc.

If any one can make a donation or ask a friend for a donation on my behalf, I will be very appreciated as will my friend and ultimately the Adler museum, the first planetaium in the US, from the money raised by raffling the basket.

I have forms to document the donation for tax purposes as well as a description of the Adler.  Please let me know if I can forward them to you for your donor.    Thanks for being there to ask for help.   Carol
