[Fredslist] What Goes Around Comes Around

Hi Gothamites and Gothamettes (thanks to Mike Landrum for the new word),

Five words, what goes around comes around and it can be life changing.

As the self proclaimed Queen of Networking, I can tell you that many things have been coming around as a result of my Gotham friendships.

Perhaps some of you feel that you are not getting enough out of "your seat at the table".  For those of you who think this way, I would like to tell you that what you get out of your seat is entirely up to you.

It is based on what you put in.

Do you regularly attend your meeting.  Do you Ride the Circuit?  Do you meet with members of your group in between meetings?

Do you frequently cancel meetings with your fellow Gothamites because something more important came up?

A word to the wise -- and we are all wise, networking is about personal relationships, trust, keeping your word and "showing up".

I had a cancelled Gotham appointment today, cancelled at 9:00 AM for a 12:30 lunch, so I have some extra time to put my thoughts out there.
