[Fredslist] Gotham's First Candidate

To My Dear Gotham Family,

I would consider myself a socially liberal and fiscally conservative
democratic, who is an activist, advocate, the co-founder of an HIV/AIDS
youth-based organization and an international tax attorney.

With background in mind, I spent a few hours with Scott Stuart last week
one-on-one, just listening to his views on the issues that are near and
dear to my heart, affordable housing, health care coverage for all,
equal rights, AIDS education in the schools.  After hearing him speak it
became apparent that we were in alignment on most of the issues.  

That being said, I urge each of you, especially if you are in Scott's
district, to take the time to meet with him, listen to his views, ask
him the tough questions and then make your decision to support him (or
not) based on the issues that are important to you.

I am proud to announce that Gotham has its first candidate for elective
office and he is Scott Stuart Co-Chair of our G&L Group.  Scott is vying
for the Republican nomination for the City Council seat from the 5th
District (mostly upper East side).    His campaign slogan is "5th in
'05".
I have made one of the first donations and I hope you will join me in
doing all you can to help our Gothamite achieve his goal.  Scott will be
riding the circuit to explain ways in which we can help.  There will be
