It is that time of year when my house is full.  The children come home and the house gets chaotic in a melodic sort of way.  Lots of activity, coming and going, laughter, food and family.  This is, simply, my happy place.

In recent years, my happy place has expanded to include extended visits with Hudson, our grand puppy.  Hudson is a beautiful, loving, anxious, and sweet 4-year-old chocolate labrador mix. 

His needs are very simple – love him, feed him and lots of pets.  True, he also enjoys running around in our backyard to show off his speed and when he’s tired out, takes over our bed from head to toe.

I’ll keep working on my plan to have a puppy of my own.  While that one hasn’t worked just yet, I’ll enjoy my time with Hudson in the meantime.
