T Shirts

I have a plethora of T shirts emblazoned with names, messages and logos. Carefully chosen, assembled, maintained and stored over too many years. The messages they carry - some significant only for a moment - while others endure.

Funny that one remembers every acquisition.

Recently I’ve considered moving to plain t shirts.

Then, over the weekend, I was having breakfast at a local place in the Berkshires and someone behind me said

“I like your shirt.”

The shirt promoted local distilleries in Lake George.

Perhaps I’ll hang on to my T shirts a bit longer....

I remember when T shirts had no logos...

I remember when all t shirts were white.
Not a fan of logo shirts, love a good message shirt.

Wearers (is that a word) of T-shirt’s with logos and sayings always give me insight into a person.

Lately almost every day another shirt arrives for my daughter---all with a message. When I commented-- she explained each was by virtue of a donation. She wears them often and usually there is a comment from someone that they like her shirt. I am however concerned about someone who might not agree with what is on her shirt and who might become aggressive. She is not.

Folks ask me where is the Poco Tee when I wear another (though Buffalo Springfield and Richie Furay remain part of the family tree). It often starts a nice chat with strangers. Poco founding member Rusty Young noted my green "POCOEst. 1968" tee at last night's concert at Tanner Park on Long I.
