Snow Stories

Let’s share snow stories. Rarely do I ask for reader participation in my blogs, but as I sit at home watching the snow fall, I wonder how others faired through the storms of March 2018. Those in warmer climes are free to join in....but please be gentle... As for me, yesterday’s morning commute was memorable in the paucity of cars on the road. After cleaning a little snow and ice off the car, I made it to the office without incident. The office closed early and the drive home was a bit more slippery. I settled in with office work, mobile devices, and remote access. Watching the snow fall and fearful that there is still another week left in March.

It is days like these that make the first few warm spring days even better.

I adore the heavy snowfall. LOVE IT. Everything slows down in Manhattan. Everything is quieter. And its beautiful. Put on your boots and enjoy.

My husband and I worked from home yesterday. While the snow was pretty, my husband kept complaining that it wasn't the 11-15 inches predicted. I finally asked if he really wanted 11-15 inches of snow, because I didn't think he did. LOL

I usually like the snow but I was a wreck worrying that my daughter and her husband wouldn't be able to go on their honeymoon. To my surprise, the roads weren't bad at 4:30 this morning and they took off only an hour later due to deicing. I spent all day yesterday worrying about it though!

Shoveled out 18+ in of snow so Alan can get to Manhattan Criminal Court today for an important client. Manhattan doesn't care about snow on LI, but they would waive Alan's appearance but not the client - If our important client has to be there, so does Alan J. Schwartz!!!
