Me Time

The holidays are a busy time. We’re all running around from work to office parties to the stores to buy gifts and to gatherings with family and friends. While, for many, it’s a fun time, it is also a very hectic time. I wonder how often, especially during the holidays, people take time just for themselves.

For me, my “me time” is often spent on the treadmill watching my trashy reality television shows. While I know the time on the treadmill is really for health reasons, I actually enjoy my time walking. It’s time when I don’t look at my phone, email, text messages etc. I just walk and let myself be distracted with the antics of the Real Housewives. When I’m finished with my workout not only does my body feel good, but my mind feels cleansed as well.

During this busy holiday season are you taking time out for yourself?

Interesting blog because I get time off of a different sort during breaks like these. this past and next weekend with city schools out, that means no basketball (also none Tues. eve as well). Essentially, I use that time to both heal and clear out / better organize materials in and around my work space. It allows me to start the new year's fresh. I catch up on accumulated periodicals.
Me time as a concept remains something I seize wherever the moments allow, including drive times.

So hard. This isn't really my "me time" season. Moreso in the summer.
