Building on the vibe in last week's commentary in this space, many I know root for a subway series.  The Bronx "tenants" did their part.  We'll know soon enough the outcome involving the Queens "tenants" I root for and who I brought my very appreciative daughter to a game also attended by my brother Jeff and Friday's blogger and sons and grandson last Thursday eve's game at Citi Field.  All I'll share about Thursday is Friday's Mets lineup reflected what I "recommended" for the game I attended (Notice the differing outcomes.). After watching Friday's game, I read an email from Friday's blogger's muse that he (the muse) would be spinning tunes with "Songs with "sail" in the title" on his Saturday afternoon SiriusXM program.  Knowing I'd be at the Bat Mitzvah reception of my cousin Brian's talented daughter Chloe (photo at left with her grandparents Audrey and Dave Uhlfelder aka my aunt and uncle), I searched "Sail" in my Apple Music library and created a playlist based on songs by music artists I listen to.  Since the Mets headed out late Friday to the west coast (L.A.), I hope (the title of this commentary.) it will create a proper vibe.  It begins with several versions of one of my fave songs by the Beach Boys: "Sail On Sailor"; Sail On Sailor gave name to the playlist. It concludes with Sail Away, a cool song by new (& long deserved) fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Peter Frampton (inducted last night -- I enjoyed watching his induction and set).  Shelly and I listened to the playlist on the drive to Chloe's Bat Mitzvah service in New City and the ensuing drive to the reception in Congers.  For the drive home I chose another playlist also only available on Apple Music: "Horn Songs." The first song, "Beginnings" from Chicago's Live at Carnegie Hall 4-LP set).  The playlist runs three hours so 10 songs went unplayed when we reached home; Traffic's Medicated Goo (as appeared on their "Last Exit" LP) played as we were parking outside our home.
