I'm embarassed to say that this is my first vacation (more than one work day) in over three years. I was nervous and scared before I left. Seems silly to write but it's the truth. I enjoy my work, most of the time, and am devoted to it.

I'm on Watch Island which is one of the 1,000 islands on the St. Lawrence river between the US and Canada. It's peaceful with the exception of the 13 other friends that are here with me.

I wonder if this qualifies as a true vacation because I did bring my laptop and have done some work. For instance...writing this blog ;)
