We recently heard of a disruption during dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. The incident, in which a diner complained to the annoyance of many people around him, was over a condiment that was simply mot available that evening. The restaurant had run out and the delivery wouldn’t be until the next day.
I wonder why some people complain that something on the restaurant’s menu is not available on a particular day. Or why the part for the car repair is on back order and your car is not yet fixed. Or why so many other things are not what they were BP.
In these times when the impact of the pandemic has, and continues to, affect us all in so many ways - the well-documented shortages and supply disruptions should not extend to understanding, caring and a sense of community.
