It's a weird thing...we use planes to fly us to places faster, yet the hassles of getting to the airport and on the plane sometimes takes more time than the flight itself.
For instance, going to Bufffalo which I did last Wednesday. I left my house at 3:50AM to catch a 5:40AM flight. The actual flight time is 50 minutes but driving to the airport, parking, going through security then waiting for the plane to board was over an hour and half.
It's also funny to watch the flight attendants, on these short flights, work their butts off trying to get everyone a drink and maybe a bag of chips, then clean up before the flight lands. You have to drink fast :-)
Now I know some of you have taken long plane flights, especially to exotic destinations, and the time you spend going to and in the airport is worth it. I appreciate that.
It's just these short flights are pretty funny. It does beat driving though!
