Last Wednesday, a bug came to play,
Brought the flu, much to my dismay.
I laid in bed, a shivering heap,
Dreaming of wellness, instead of sleep.
I coughed and slept, a pitiful sight,
Wrapped in blankets, through day and night.
Ben's soup was my ally, tissues my friends,
Together we fought, to make amends.
But laughter came, amidst the gloom,
As I imagined dancing around the room.
For even sick, I found a spark,
Of humor amidst these past three days so dark.
I'm hoping soon, I'll be waving wave adieu,
To this nasty, undesirable, unwelcome flu!
