The Traveling Wilburys were a Super Music Group first made famous by Roy Orbison, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Jeff Lynne. They recorded two great albums in the late 80s and their "End of the Line" music will live forever.
Someone utilized a clever turn of phrase and adopted their name for a fun loving later day group of marauding travelers who sometimes make road trips to visit a distant Gotham Group as is happening today down in Princeton.
Our group (pictured above) of hearty souls is made up of Mitch "Wheelman" Tobol, who always drives with me by his side with the rear being brought up by Corey Bearak and Cindy "Back Seat" Somma.
We have a raucous unfiltered time in the car and that's all I can say, as what happens in the car stays in the car!
Today we go to "Zinderland" (as distinguished from Hinterlands) for our once a year visit to Josh Zinder's Princeton Group. We usually announce our starting time on Fredslist to initiate an ETA contest as the fun begins.
Today I predict that Mitch will drive masterly, Corey will connect us to the World through his lap top, Cindy will complain re her seat selection and I will still be seeking a filter at the end of the line.
All in a day's "work". :)
