Facebook Moms that is.

There is a phenomenon going on out there on Facebook. It is called the Moms groups. I have heard about this craze from a number of different places and decided to join two local Facebook Moms groups.

Wow. Powerful on so many levels. One has advertising rules (Sunday and Wednesday only). Both are resources for sourcing doctors, baby gifts, houses, selling gym equipment and more.

But here is my favorite story so far. One mom posted a photo of a lost puppy that turned up on her lawn. She asked if it was possible that anyone knew the dog since it did not seem to be a stray. A discussion followed. One mom suggested that the posting mom take the dog to the local animal hospital to see if they could find a chip. The posting mom responded that her husband had just taken the dog up to the hospital. Then another mom posted, get ready, that she had shown the photo to a friend in another town and turns out she knew the dog. Within 3 hours of the first post the dog was returned to its owner.

So far I’m lurking but I suspect I may soon be an active participant.
