At Gotham Happy Hour I shared something about today’s Gotham blog. Friday’s blogger remarked nice to not discuss my outside office (he used a different term!).  Well I did go there but only to retrieve the coffee pot so Shelly’s brew could remain in the thermal pot parked inside the kitchen-based coffeemaker. And I still found some time for yardwork, albeit out front. What occurred today (see pic at upper left) involved a tattoo.

On our son’s wedding day while Marisa and I hurrayed uptown after the ceremony in Central Park via an Aaron Jackson-provided Finest Chauffeurs-driven limo to procure the wedding cake for the reception, my wife and her two sisters-in law “cooked up” a scheme for my wife to get a tattoo. As things turned out it only involved my brother Richy’s wife, Adrianne.  Jeff and Robin were not able to make it to Brooklyn as per the plan.  The change evolved the day into me just ‘delivering” Shelly to the Bellerose LIRR where after transfers to the L and G subway lines, she reached Brooklyn Tattoo. The new plan called for me to drive to Brooklyn to meet the two newly-marked up gals and my brother for dinner at their Brooklyn home a few blocks from the parlor.  I selected the Byrds’ Untitled album for the drive (Issued originally as a double-LP set, it includes the studio version of “Chestnut Mare” which remains my fave tune by that iconic band.) and enjoyed a bunch of live songs, starting with “Lover of the Bayou” and a full-side of an LP cut of “Eight Miles High.”

Reaching the Brooklyn Bearaks dwelling I got greeted by a leg showing several stars. Adrianne showed me the video she took of the event. I took a glass of red wine poured by my nephew, Doug.….

[Editor's note: title plays on the name of a Rolling Stones LP.]
