Last Thursday morning I was finishing our normal morning routine making our bed. As I finished straightening the blanket and organizing the pillows I heard the clang of metal on metal. It was odd and every time I moved a pillow, there it was again. You may remember that last Thursday morning we had some snow – actually a lot of snow.
More than ten years ago, my son was in nursery school where he was taught that the way to ensure a snow day was to sleep with a spoon under your pillow the night before. That superstition is apparently live and well in our house as I discovered that every spoon we own had been hidden under any available pillow.
I suppose it worked. We were having a snow day.
