Like a good friend, I can enjoy a good swim. Unlike that friend, my swim facility only recently became “available” to me. My second time I visited it with Shelly. She makes other use of it (and maintained her affiliation for several years before I recently selected it) but I still swam, and evidently we already plan two more successive visits.
In past years, I enjoyed the several month extended summer season at a pool club; through that membership I met friends who invited me into fall through Spring weekend basketball game that later added one weeknight. Those games more recently became year-round and the use of the pool club for summer ball mitigated against it. And last summer, guiding a friend’s re-election left little time to enjoy its waters (hours of operation posed an issue).
This new facility offers rather flexible opportunities to its own water and a working sauna (not accessed yet but the old place closed its one several year back – another disincentive).
This weekend really offers the biggest juxtaposition. The pool club would open like clockwork each Memorial Day weekend and similarly close Labor Day (more recently extending one weekend beyond). The new facility presents no similar limit. As a result, I hope to enjoy its amenities with some frequency.
On the way there and back enjoyed some Innocence In Paradise from the Knowledge of Squeeze.
