I was excited to get an invitation from the Gotham Tribal Council to take on the Wednesday Blog Spot in the Gotham weekly lineup.  Filling the site that was so passionately helmed by the inspiring Carly Meyer will be a challenge that I look forward to embrace.

As some of you may know, I have an avid interest in Movies, Music, Museums, Theater, Books, and Television. I look forward to taking the role of the Culture Vulture.  I will be on the prowl for the latest cultural event or activity that may pique your interest.

I give credit to my mother, at what set my course, for being interested in more than the “Hollywood” movies that play everywhere.  She took me to New York to see foreign and “art” films that whet my appetite for more unusual fare.  When I was 14, my parents took me to the Freedomland amusement park in the Bronx to see the jazz great, Louis Armstrong.  Little did I know that seeing live music would become a lifelong passion.

What or who inspired you to be interested in the cultural sphere outside the world of your television or radio?
