Last month, I shared proud parent moments involving my daughter with whom her mom and I celebrated another achievement the month before. This month her big brother gets the kudos. I posted to X last week that research by Jonathan and Guttmacher Institute colleague Gilda Sedgh got published in the prestigious journal, BMJ Global Health. The articleUnintended pregnancy and gender inequality worldwide: an ecological analysis, covers their finding gender inequality directly correlates with the incidence of unintended pregnancy. Jonathan, a sociologist and demographer who studies inequality in social, health and economic outcomes, works as a Principal Research Scientist at Guttmacher which he joined a decade ago while finishing his PhD at NYU.

Earlier this month, Jonathan also participated on several panels at the Population Association of America (PAA) annual meeting in Washington, DC, including one on the aforementioned research paper.
