Every year I take a stroll down the Super Bowl experience on the Tuesday following from the perspective of someone who doesn’t really engage in the actual game. That means a review of the commercials and the half-time show.
Quite honestly, I was a little disappointed with the commercials this year. There were a few memorable moments. I particularly enjoyed Bill Murray and the stroll down Groundhog Day lane. On a more serious note, I literally applauded at the Olay commercial: “When we make space for women, we make space for everyone.” Anthony Anderson and his mama – T-Mobile – it works at the aquarium, in the movie theater, in the kitchen, in the club. Funny. And of course, Tom Brady for Hulu. No, he’s not retiring.
As to the half time show, what a show. I thought Shakera and J-Lo worked well together. There was a lot of shaking and jumping around but the music was fun. The hit of the show for me though was J-Lo’s daughter. What a talented and poised young woman at the age of 11. We are going to see more of that talented singer.
Well, that’s all for me. Until next year.
