I love coffee. That is to say, I love espresso.
Unfortunately, since getting my cholesterol count, I discovered that coffee raises your "bad" cholesterol.
Tea is okay. Sometimes its more than okay.
Sometimes a Chai Tea Latte is almost as good as a "real" latte.
And I do like Earl Grey.
[The Earl Grey blend, or "Earl Grey's Mixture", is assumed to be named after Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, British Prime Minister in the 1830s and author of the Reform Bill of 1832. He reputedly received a gift, probably a diplomatic perquisite, of tea flavoured with bergamot oil.]
Oh, and I always go decaf, but its not the caffeine which raises the "bad" cholesterol, its the rest of it.
Caffeine has its own issues, I don't need it.
So for today, I'm treadmilling, changing my diet and not taking prescription meds.
I have a great doctor.
My numbers are improving.
So, when I meet you for coffee, (I'm buying!) I might have espresso, but I'll probably just go with the tea.
A revolution of my own.
What's in your cup?
“I say let the world go to hell, but I should always have my tea.”
