Several years ago, I purchased an egg cooker. Essentially, it can make seven hard boiled eggs at a time. It can also poach eggs but I, almost always, use it to hard boil eggs.

When I brought it home, my husband  laughed and asked why did we need that gadget as it’s easy to make hard boiled eggs on the stove? Since that time, he has seen me use it very often. I use it when he or I want hard boiled eggs for salads, I use it every Passover for the eggs for the table and  when I want to make egg salad.

The egg maker has become one of my favorite gadgets. And my husband has retracted, several times, his initial disparagement about the purchase. He will, often, ask me to take it out to make him eggs.
