Perhaps it’s somewhat of a theme in our blogs this week. I am inspired by Mitch and Rona.
Honestly, I am conflicted. I really feel strongly about matters evolving in the political arena. I also feel strongly that we need to be able to talk to each other respectfully in order to be able to get through the next few years.
Like Rona’s, my house moved to a “No Politics” zone around Thanksgiving. You may remember that I wrote a blog about it. (You are forgiven if you don’t remember). At the time, I was proud of the solution we had found to keep my family calmly around our table.
But now, I’m not so proud. Both Rona and Mitch described having taken steps towards bridging this difficult conversation gap. I’m not sure I have been able to do so yet. I want to and I think it’s super important. But I admit, emotionally I’m not sure I’m ready.
Bear with me please. I promise to try harder.
