I do it a lot—maybe more than I should. Do you? Whether it’s analyzing my golf swing, reviewing client interactions, or reflecting on personal relationships, I often find myself looking back with gratitude. But often, I’m my own worst critic, replaying moments and wondering what I could have done better which keeps me up at night.
Self-reflection comes in many forms—journaling (like Fred:), meditation, or simply thinking things through. I meditate occasionally, but not while driving! Most of the time, though, I just get lost in my own thoughts, quietly analyzing the world around me.
The good side of self-reflection is that it helps us better understand our values, beliefs, and what truly drives us. The bad side causes a lack of sleep.
