I'm in Canada this week staying at a friends house on Lake Erie next to the Buffalo Canoe Club (image is the boathouse) that is populated with Buffalonians who founded it in 1886. It's a very different vibe up here. Laid back, no one's in a rush, with funny accents...eh? 

Some of the big concerns I hear are about an extra 1% tax the local government is considering to place on Americans that own land in this country and that the borders are open again after a two year COVD lockdown. Other than that, it's all about the wind, the boats and the beach.

Sailing is big in the club. Not like Guy's amazing adventure he's undertaking in the Golden Globe competition, but they do host international races. My friends own a sailboat and we've been experiencing the serenity of sailing on the Erie. It's quite beautiful and calming to be on the water with only the wind propelling you.

By the way, the flags on the bridge signify all the countries that compete in the sailing competitions they hold. Quite impressive.
