Last week I blogged about National Hugging Day. I liked that blog. It reminded me of a story from my daughter’s high school days (recounted in last week’s blog).

I decided to do a little research to see what other National Days were coming up.  I was astounded. The website www.nationalcalendarday.com lists them all.

February alone has:

National Baked Alaska Day, Ice Cream for Breakfast Day (I like that one), National Day the Music Died Day, National Create a Vacuum Day, National Homemade Soup Day, National Girls and Women in Sports Day, National Periodic Table Day, National Pizza Day (anyone care to join me on February 9?) which is the same day as National Toothache Day, and National Random Acts of Kindness Day.

And that is only barely touching the surface just for the month of February.

So, here is what I decided.  We need a National Gotham Day!  A day that reminds everyone what our special network is about.
