Once again I get to take advantage of a Sunday blog gig falling on a day where we give thanks; this time to our dads (I even qualify for this one.). Let me start with a tradition I started sharing a wonderful song for this special day by current Poco bassist and vocalist Jack Sundrud.

After my morning coffee outside (See spot in pice at left.).  We plan to celebrate with a BBQ, our usual tradition. Last year at this time, my daughter lived a coast away; this year she’s home and her mom and dad look forward to her presence at today’s gathering. In a nice twist, making it an extended day of sorts, lox and bagels brunch to start, supplied by Jonathan.

I also look forward to Phase Two tomorrow this side of the border (A short walk east or south puts me there already.).

Keeping with a personal blogging tradition, thank you not just to my dads and granddads, but to those many other dads I know (all the others out there!) who also do a heck of job. Give yourselves a nice hand. And to satisfy my curiosity, share how you expect to or know how you plan to celebrate/ are celebrating today in the comments to this blog.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! You (we) deserve it!

This weekend my husband is riding his bicycle on various trails out in Nassau and Suffolk . It’s his passion and now is able to enjoy it more due to this crazy pandemic so you see there is a bright side through every dark cloud
Thank you Corey for your wonderful words enjoy everyone
