On this second day of the Thanksgiving weekend I would like to give thanks to all things Gotham.
In the true spirit of our "It's better to give than receive, but what goes around comes around" mantra, our Tribe has enjoyed a bountiful year.
In this our "Sweet 16" year we have grown geometrically to over 50 groups (stretching from Boston to South Florida) with more than 900 members.
During the year we have installed a new state-of-the-art website, produced our first Battle of the Bands and our initial High School Oratorical Contest, added thriving new Groups and instituted a number of theme-based list serves, e.g., Rock Rap.
The culmination of the year comes next Tuesday at our annual holiday party at which time we honor and celebrate all things Gotham.
I can't wait to learn the names of the 2013 Networkers of the Year, the recipient's of the four $5000 Summer of Giving Gotham Foundation grants and, most of all, the recipient of the Red Bandana Award given in recognition of selfless contribution in memory of Welles Remy Crowther.
As I said, it's been a fruitful year and we've accomplished a lot, but there's still so much more to do and together I know we can do it.
Happy holidays!
