This blog may tease some. It notes a special announcement that I get to make. Actually many. But in honor of some of the great leakers of news of the current White House, many anonymously memorialized in a book that shot to the top of the charts as this weekend began, no names. This Thursday, Gotham GREEN® announces the recipients of our Gotham Green Awards®. All very worthy. Trust me. I served on the selection committee.
Gotham GREEN® annually recognizes those who make a difference in our communities and the world by celebrating people and organizations, both Gotham members and non-Gotham members, who work in ways big and small; for-profit and not-for-profit, to make our world a little greener.
GOtham GREEN® provides a platform for businesses and professionals who seek to connect and promote sustainable business opportunities, practices and relationships.
Gotham Green Awards® recognize three categories: (1) Green Business or Green Initiative; (2) Green Building, Product or Program; or (3) Green/Sustainable non-profit organization. A special thank you to Gotham co-Founder Fred C. Klein for inspiration; he encouraged this special program of Gotham City Networking, Inc.
If you want to attend the Announcement of the Gotham Green Awards®, please make your reservation at the Gotham website and email Gotham GREEN® Group Coordinator Sherry Rivera for further information. It takes place Thursday January 11, 12:30 p.m. at Club Quarters, 40 W 45th Street (between 5th and 6th Avenues), New York, NY 10019 (You can also reserve for the April Awards Luncheon a few days ahead of Earth Day here.)
Let me close with one of my fave songs on this topic.
