Early in the same month we celebrate Earth Day, GOtham Green® recognizes the five recipients of 2017 GOtham Green Awards®. The special event takes places at New York City’s famed Friars Club in Midtown Manhattan at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Click here if your wish to attend.

Gotham Green® annually recognizes those who make a difference in our communities and the world by celebrating people and organizations, both Gotham members and non-Gotham members, who work in ways big and small; for-profit and not-for-profit, to make our world a little greener. GOtham Green® provides a platform for businesses and professionals who seek to connect and promote sustainable business opportunities, practices and relationships.

I was honored to announce each winner on behalf of Gotham City Networking, Inc.® at a special meeting of GOtham Green® Thursday, December 1, 2016, also held at the Friars’ Club. Past Gotham Green Awards® winners and Gotham Green® members Joel Chadabe of Ear To The Earth Foundation and Kristina Kohl of HR Computes attended the announcement.

The recipients – Joshua Zinder Architecture + Design (JZA+D), COX Printers, Morningside Heights Housing Corporation, Earth Friendly Products and Queens Chamber of Commerce – Energy Committee – include people, businesses and organizations who (that) work on environmentally sustainable initiatives and projects.

To learn more about each Gotham Green Awards® winner, please view my LinkedIn post from December 2016.

Gotham Green Awards® recognizes three categories:

1. Green Business or Green Initiative – For businesses whose core message and products are green in concept and/or sustainable.

2. Green product, program or building - For businesses that have produced, planned or created a singular item that is green and sustainable.

3. Green/Sustainable non-profit organization - For non-profit organizations that focus on or have created a program or product that they believe contributes to the global sustainability effort.

If you want to attend the GOtham Green Awards®, please make your reservations at the Gotham website and email GOtham Green® Group Coordinator Sherry Rivera for further information.

A special thank you to Gotham co-Founder Fred C. Klein for inspiration.

Please share widely.

Thank you for your interest and help in spreading the word.
